Summary:

This book is about a sixteen-year-old girl named Kia who becomes pregnant. She has to face many difficult decisions such as whether she should keep the baby, abort it, or put it up for adoption. Through the course of her pregnancy, Kia grows attached to her baby and can't bring herself to abort it. Consequently, she had to cope with angry parents, friends who no longer wanted to be around her, and an unpleasant ex-boyfriend who offered no support.

While keeping a journal of these life-changing nine months, Kia learns many things about herself that she had never discovered before. She also learns who her real friends are and whom she can trust. Her lessons are useful for her life and the lives of all the readers of Dancing Naked.

Opinion:

I thought this book was very emotional and real because Kia is my age. I loved how she remained so strong and optimistic throughout all the hard times she lived through. I also learned very much from her mistakes and decisions.
